One of the Jersey Shore’s most atmospheric restaurants, the South of France-inspired Avenue in Long Branch, is offering an enticing prix fixe three-course Valentine’s Day menu ($42 per person), courtesy of Chef Josh Sauer. Gracing the menu, couples can indulge in dishes like Seared Sea Scallops, Foie Gras Torchon, Lobster Ravioli and Branzino Cassoulet, Chef Sauer’s seafood-centric take on a classic French dish. Beverage Director Thierry Carrier will be on hand to suggest pairings from the restaurant’s global wine list.
The most romantic course of the meal, dessert, will tantalize each diner’s sweet tooth with Pastry Chef Stuart Marx’s Lover’s Sampler dessert platter featuring a chocolate truffle tart, white chocolate passion fruit panna cotta, and a petit strawberry shortcake garnished with Champagne gelee.
On top of a delectable meal, the restaurant boasts a romantic atmosphere with it’s floor to ceiling windows, Atlantic Ocean views, and indoor fire place.
