This Valentine’s Day, after taking a romantic stroll hand-in-hand along Hoboken’s Waterfront Walkway to gaze upon the Manhattan Skyline, walk over to Halifax to enjoy a four-course prix fixe menu ($79, add $29 for pairings), courtesy of Chef Seadon Shouse and Pastry Chef Stuart Marx, and with wine pairings courtesy of Beverage Director Carlos Arteaga. Spicy Shrimp Bisque – Florida shrimp escabeche, pickled peppers, crème fraiche
Paired with – Special Lucchetti, Brut Rose, Italy, NV
NJ Albacore Tuna Tartare – Tomato confit, smoked almonds, spicy aioli, shallots, crepe crisps
Paired with – Gruner, Landhaus Mayer, Austria
Saffron Risotto – Charred scallion, crispy duck confit, frisee and parmesan
Paired with – Grenache, Rhone Paradox, Rhone, France
Tournedos of Beef – leek-potato gratin, truffle butter, rapini, veal jus
Paired with – Tempranillo, Volver, La Mancha, Spain
Roasted Blue Cod – NJ soy bean marinade, mushroom broth, haircot verts, sunchokes, scallions
Paired with – Sancerre, Domaine Fouassier, Loire Valley, France
