New York Yankees Home Opener to Unveil Stadium’s New Dining Menu

In celebration of the upcoming baseball season and the New York Yankees home opener on Monday, April 2nd against the Tampa Bay Rays, #HipNJ is featuring the new menu offerings available to all fans at Yankee Stadium! In addition to improving creative ballpark favorites, the stadium continues to provide numerous social gathering spaces on all levels of the stadium for mingling and enjoying a few drinks.

Unique food and beverage options are developed for the purpose of enhancing the fan experience. Some interesting new options include Yankee Stadium Grand Slam Shakes, the vegan Beyond Sausage served on a pretzel roll from the Bareburger Stand, King’s Hawaiian Offerings featuring Kona BBQ Brisket Burnt Ends and Original Sweet Pineapple BBQ Kalua Pork Nachos and much more!

Social gathering locations remain the focus of stadium coordinators who have ensured that there is at least one on every level of the stadium. These include the Toyota Terrace overlooking the Yankee bullpen, the Budweiser Party Deck and the Kids Clubhouse. The newest of these spaces is the Blue Point Bleacher Bar that will be the exclusive distributer of NY Pinstripe Pilsner. Blue Point Brewery’s latest master creation, the NY Pinstripe Pilsner combines lime aroma with a crisp taste and is brewed with the Yankee fan in mind.

Anyone can enjoy the new offerings at Yankee stadium thanks to the teams continued effort to supply value-priced tickets for fans hoping to enjoy a game. Pinstripe passes will be available for purchase for just $15 and includes entry for standing room only and one drink (yes this include beer for guests 21 and over). $10 Grandstand level tickets are also available.

Be sure to book your tickets and satisfy your spring baseball fix!  Tickets may be purchased online at www.yankees.com

New York Mets Unveil Shannon Dalton Forde Memorial Field

On Friday, June 2 at 11:00 AM, Major League Baseball, the New York Mets and the Borough of Little Ferry, including the Little Ferry Police Department, will unveil the newly-renovated Shannon Dalton Forde Memorial Field (179 Mehrhof Rd., Little Ferry, NJ 07643), dedicated to the late public relations executive for the Mets.

The group will be joined by Mayor Mauro D. Raguseo, Borough of Little Ferry, N.J.; Det. Mike Hinchcliffe, Little Ferry Police Department; Jeff Wilpon, Chief Operating Officer, New York Mets; Gary Cohen, SNY Broadcaster and Ceremony Emcee; Tony Reagins, Senior Vice President, Youth Programs, Major League Baseball and Shannon’s family and friends,

In December 2016, MLB and its 30 Clubs launched a “PLAY BALL Charity Auction” during Baseball’s Annual Winter Meetings for the fifth consecutive year. Each auction, which raises money through a wide array of unique experiences and items from each MLB Club, has been designed to raise both funds and awareness for a special cause. The initiative was inspired by the numerous employees, friends and fans of the game who have been affected by cancer.

This year, the auction focused on honoring the legacy and memory of Shannon Dalton Forde. More than $235,000 was raised toward the renovation of an existing youth baseball and softball field in Forde’s hometown of Little Ferry. Renovations made to Shannon Dalton Forde Memorial Field included dugouts with protective fencing and benches, perimeter fencing, bleachers, backstop, and scoreboard and field signs. MLB also has worked with the Borough of Little Ferry and the local Police Activities League on the project and future youth programming.

This year’s charity auction total marked the most money raised since the initiative’s inception in 2012, eclipsing last year’s record-high amount. This effort has now raised more than $900,000 for causes related to cancer.

New Stadium social gathering locations include:

SUNRUN KIDS CLUBHOUSE: The Sunrun Kids Clubhouse will be Yankee Stadium’s first-ever children’s zone. Shaped like a mini-baseball field with a soft artificial surface, the 2,850-square-foot area is located on the 300 Level in right field and outfitted with Yankees-themed playground equipment, including oversized baseballs, bases and baseball cards, a 6-foot-high replica World Series trophy and interactive exhibits. Parents can join their children on the play area or choose to oversee them from a nearby dugout. Television monitors will ensure that no one misses any game action. On warm days, a retractable shade can be extended to cover the play area. The Sunrun Kids Clubhouse also includes two family restrooms equipped with changing tables. The new #HipNJ mom will be happy to know they will have additional private space, including lounge chairs, a television and power outlets for those using electric breast pumps.

MASTERPASS BATTER’S EYE DECK: Located on the 200 Level in center field with a clear, sweeping view of the entire Stadium, the Masterpass Batter’s Eye Deck has been expanded to 3,500 square feet and includes drink-rails overlooking the field. This outdoor gathering space will feature craft beers, cocktails and a large selection of food options. We’re salivating over their new food features including The Mutz, which is a hand-pulled mozzarella sandwiches with mixed vegetables!

BULLPEN TERRACES: Frank’s RedHot Terrace (overlooking the visitors bullpen in left field) and the Toyota Terrace (overlooking the Yankees bullpen in right field) are open-air social gathering areas on the 100 Level. Each terrace features its own specialty food and drink options. Drink-rail locations at the landings will have power/USB outlets. As a result of this reconfiguration, all obstructed-view seats in the Bleachers have been removed. We can’t wait to try the Frank’s RedHot Chicken Diablo Sandwich featuring grilled chicken breast, Frank’s RedHot sauce, blue cheese! We also love how our vegetarian friends are included in the mix, with the introduction of the Crispy Buffalo Cauliflower Bun with celery slaw and creamy blue cheese!

BUDWEISER PARTY DECKS: Located in Sections 311 and 328, Budweiser Party Decks feature shaded stand-alone bar areas serving beer, cocktails and food. Drink-rail and barstool seating provides fans a relaxed and casual setting from which to enjoy sweeping views of the field and game action.

AT&T SPORTS LOUNGE featuring DirecTV service: The new AT&T Sports Lounge featuring DirecTV service at Section 134 on the Field Level includes a full bar with craft beers and cocktails. Tables, stools and large-screen televisions tuned to the Yankees broadcast and other live sporting events provide a sports-bar atmosphere on the Stadium’s main outdoor concourse in left field. Additionally, power/USB outlets are available for charging phones or tablets.
