Happy Chinese New Year! People may ask what the Chinese New Year means and we have that for you here. The Chinese New Year is the beginning of the Chinese lunar year and this year according to the Chinese zodiac cycle, it is the year of the Rooster. The Rooster the tenth Chinese zodiac sign and it signifies confidence, honesty and hard work.

Festivals celebrating the Chinese New Year start on the evening of January 27 to reign in the New Year. Celebrations continue until February 2, making this one of the longest celebrations in Chinese tradition. Here are some pictures depicting the Chinese New Year celebrations.

Happy New Years Eve! New Years Eve is a large celebration across the United States and many other countries which is celebrated in many different ways. The most famous celebration would be the ball drop in New York City’s Time Square. At 11:59 P.M. a 11,875 pound  crystal ball is dropped ringing in the New Year. Along with celebrations there are also resolutions that happen whether they are working out, spending less money, eating well and many others.
