SOMOS Latin Kitchen and Bar

Regular guests of Costanera will be familiar with
Chef/Owner Juan Placencia‘s commitment to serving
delicious cuisine with bold flavors in a
warm, casual atmosphere.

Now, he elevates Latin cuisine further
with his sister restaurant, SOMOS.

SOMOS translates to the simple, inclusive phrase “We Are”:
an inspiration to celebrate the world of Latin cuisines
in a delicious and creative way;
this is the guiding principle behind the new
restaurant, just opened in North Arlington
by Chef Juan and his family.

SOMOS is a celebration of Latin American
flavors with a global perspective.
A lively bar pouring the full spectrum
of Latin spirits, a gathering place for drinking, dining,
late-night entertainment, a new brunch destination…
SOMOS will be all this and more.

Cocktails by award-winning mixologist
Rachael Robbins are beautifully
presented, and reflect her expertise in coaxing
stellar, well-balanced flavors out of a few simple ingredients.

In addition to select Old and New World wines
and craft beers, SOMOS cocktails include:

Holiday Hip List 2018: Seltzer’s Rainbow Heart

The Hip List‘s Maria Falzo is here to tell you about her gift picks for the holidays!

Author Jayne DiGregorio stopped by the #HipNJ studio with her adorable 1 1/2 year old Bernedoodle, Bear, to chat with our Maria Falzo about the wonderful initiatives she is currently embarking on!

Jayne released a children’s book called “Seltzers Rainbow Heart” that was born from her heartbreak over losing her Yorkie, Seltzer, last May.

“It was a book that was a healing tool for me when I lost my little Yorkie, Seltzer, last May. I wanted to write a book to keep her legacy alive with all the unconditional love she offered to me and everyone who met her,” explained Jayne.

To further capture the spirit of Seltzer, Jayne recently published a coloring book called “COLOR Seltzer’s Rainbow Heart.” Portions of the proceeds from both books are donated to local animal shelters & rescues. For more information, visit www.SeltzersRainbowHeart.com.

It was important to Jayne to develop other ways to help the local pet community. For nearly a year, Jayne has been spearheading an initiative called C.A.R.E. Bearbox. Each month, Jayne collects gently used towels/blankets/toys around the community and delivers these boxes to a different Animal Shelter and Rescue. For the Holidays, Jayne is introducing the first first C.A.R.E Bearbox – 2018 Winter Box with the “Buy a Box, Give a Box” mission. With each box purchased, a box of goodies & essentials will be donated to a local Animal Shelter or Rescue. For more information, visit www.CareBearbox.com.

Holiday Hip List 2018: Christine Argo

Christine Agro has spent almost 20 years helping others achieve a higher level of consciousness, and she talks about some of those tips with #HipNJ’s Maria Falzo.

Her book, “Awaken & Grow: A Practical Guide For Your Spiritual Journey” gives you the inside track on not only the process of our Spiritual Journey but also takes you a step further and shares what to do once you’ve had your awakening. From insight and guidance to tools and tips, Awaken & Grow is a crash course in our reason for being. It turns your AHA moment into an AHA life!

Awaken & Grow is broken into three parts:

Awaken

In Awaken, Christine takes you through the phases of our awakening process, explains why and how we awaken and why we don’t come in awakened in the first place.

Grow
In Grow, she explores the three stages that our growth takes us through – no matter what lesson you are trying to learn, you are going to move through these three stages and understanding this can help you move more quickly and more easily through the process. She also explores the three core life lessons we are all working on, lessons that are the root of any conflict you might experience. Understand this and you will be that much closer to learning those lessons and moving forward on your journey.

Putting It All Together
In Putting It All Together, Christine dives into some of the tools to help you navigate your Spiritual growth and shares some of the ways that living an Awakened life can help you create the life you love.

As Christine is experiential in nature and believes in doing over reading, so at the end of the book, she’s included a link that takes you to the Awaken & Grow Bonus Package which includes mini video courses designed to help you move the information in this book from your mind to your body. Make 2019 your most fulfilling year yet!
