Braun’s Tavern & Dining Room Now Open in Bloomfield

Chef/Owner Michael Fiorianti is pleased to announce the launch of his new endeavor, Braun’s Tavern & Dining Room in Bloomfield Center, a modern-day, chef driven, casual neighborhood spot where families, friends, co-workers and groups can gather to enjoy a great meal and beverages.

Continuing his novel approach to cuisine, his accessible, creative dishes use locally sourced, farm fresh ingredients. Braun’s will be open Tuesday – Sunday (closed Mondays) offering lunch, dinner, brunch, and happy hour in its dining room and full menu and exclusive bar menu at the 40-foot-long full-service bar.

With 25 years of culinary experience, Chef Fiorianti has enjoyed favorable reviews from food critics, being featured in The New York Times and Montclair Magazine. He was previously the Executive Chef for Satis Bistro in Jersey City, and the sole proprietor of its sister restaurant, Satis Bloomfield at the same location. Intrigued by the location’s history dating back as far as the late 1800’s through the prohibition era and into the 1940’s, Chef decided to reinvent the space. He explains, “The opportunity to be a part of Bloomfield’s evolution of history is a great honor. We hope you will join us at the new Braun’s Tavern and Dining Room, a place for everyone.”

Braun’s will offer the same high level of culinary and service excellence and continue to source its fresh products as close to home as possible. The menu will consist of unique and familiar dishes, prepared thoughtfully and with a focus on fun. The emphasis is on house-made at Braun’s where cheese and pastas are handcrafted, meats are masterfully prepared, and accompaniments are flavorful and freshly made. Guest are welcome to order food for pick-up and shortly after opening for delivery via UBER Eats.

The beverage program features signature cocktails, a well-rounded wine list, up to 30 different craft beers on draught and by bottle. Braun’s will also feature local spirts from Silk City Distillers and an impressive selection of 36 American bourbons and whiskeys with regular featured specials.

Located in the heart of Bloomfield Center’s bustling business district just off Bloomfield Avenue, Braun’s is conveniently steps away from NJ Transit’s Bloomfield train stop.

Where To Eat Vegan with #HipNJ

We all know New Jersey is full of delicious restaurants – but what if you have food allergies or simply don’t care for ingesting animal products? Lucky for literally everyone in this state, there are tons of great vegan/gluten free restaurants with endless menu items that’ll make you say, “Wait, this is vegan?”

Check out some of our favorites!

  1. Good Karma Cafe –  17 E Front St Red Bank, NJ 07701
“Best restaurant in red bank and it is vegan. A must visit even if you are not vegan.”
  2. Papa Ganache – 106 Main St Matawan, NJ 07747
“I’m not vegan nor do I have any food allergies so I was hesitant in trying this bakery.  I never thought vegan desserts could be this good… You would never ever know these cupcakes were even vegan!”
  3. Tea NJ – 262 Newark Ave Jersey City, NJ 07302
“Amazing place! Name should change because they are SO MUCH MORE than just tea! Especially if your vegan this should be a go to! Wraps and soups and burgers are all so good and VEGAN!!!”
  4. Kaya’s Kitchen – 1000 Main St Belmar, NJ 07719
“Easily a great spot for vegans visiting the shore. The food is delicious and, if dining in, it’s very quaint and staff is attentive. We look forward to the certain nights when they have live music.”
  5. Killer Vegan – 996 Stuyvesant Ave Union, NJ 07083
“Everything was delicious. The burger was especially good. Maybe the best veggie patty I have ever had.”
  6. Positivitea – 550 Bloomfield Ave Verona, NJ 07044
“This is such a cute place that has great service and food. I was so overwhelmed with the options, but eventually settled on the mexi-cali burger with kale-slaw…I also had the strawberry milk(less)shake which tasted just like I remembered one to taste minus the dairy after taste.
This will be my go to place every weekend.”
  7. Zest16 Little Falls Rd Fairfield, NJ 07004
“This place is the absolute PERFECT lunch spot!! Between their juices, smoothies and bowls, I never get bored with my healthy meal choices.”
  8.  Crust & Crumble – 633 Lake Ave Asbury Park, NJ 07712
“I would give this place 10 stars if I could as far as the vegan sandwiches go…I would HIGHLY recommend this place for a great vegan menu! Very affordable and the sandwiches are HUGE!”
  9. Blueberry Cafe Juice Bar & Vegan Grille – 547 Central Ave Newark, NJ 07107
“This is a DIAMOND in the ROUGH! The artwork and design of the eatery is amazing. My experiences here are always pleasant!”
  10. Mama’s Cafe Baci – 260 Mountain Ave Hackettstown, NJ 07840
“I love, love, love that Mama’s has a full vegan (and vegetarian) menu. They have separate menus altogether so vegans/vegetarians don’t have to be envious of the regular menu and feel like they’re not getting such as large/good of a selection.”Happy eating!
