Happy Poinsettia Day!  Poinsettia’s seem to be the icon of the Christmas season so it makes sense that Poinsettia Day is right around the corner from Christmas. Hope you add a Poinsettia plant to your holiday decor.

Gingerbread House Day

Gingerbread House Day

Happy Gingerbread House Day! Christmas is quickly approaching so it is the time to get all your baking supplies out and make a gingerbread house with your family. Here are some great pictures of some gingerbread houses you can make!

This weekend was chock full of Christmas funz. We did some Christmas shopping, painted our pumpkins white, threw some wreaths on the doors, and made a gingerbread house, the last three done while watching "Elf" and "Ernest Saves Christmas"— Ernest always gives me (Sarah) the heebie-jeebies, but it still brought back memories and was a fun addition to a busy day. One of my favorite parts was the initial construction of the gingerbread house, which I think is always the hardest part. Mark was trying to keep it together, and rebuilding it a second time, when it fell apart a last time, one side of it falling to the floor and cracking into three pieces. There was cussing, yelling at the dog to not eat the pieces, and laughing. And I felt so thankful. PS- Icing fixes everything, and the cracks were mended by some beautiful handiwork.✨
