#HipNJ’s Lisa Marie Latino met with Jason Underberg and Brian Kovener, Co-Founders of VUE Magazine, to discuss the premier luxury lifestyle magazine of North Jersey.
VUE targets the most affluent readers with the highest level of disposable income and spending power in the market. The quarterly publication provides readers with a first person perspective that celebrates the most prestigious lifestyle, real estate, and luxurious design. “The main thing we pride ourselves in is bringing you the news first,” Underberg says. “Everything in that magazine is real.”
“VUE Magazine, for me, was really a passion project,” Underberg states. “It’s something I have always wanted to do. The magazine has since grown beyond his wildest imagination. Underberg ‘s cousin Kovener attended a launch event for the magazine, and knew that he wanted to make the transition from finance to working on VUE. “The beauty is that you learn something new every day,” Kovener says.
Underberg does not believe that print is dying. “The same people that are saying that print is dead are reading a magazine on the beach,” he says. He feels that this is a huge misconception, as the readers are there. Still, VUE is growing its digital presence with the launch of MagMen, a new series taking viewers behind the scenes of what it is like to put together a magazine.
It is no secret that a luxurious bedroom needs great sheeting, the right window coverings, and a touch of sparkle. Here’s how to get the look, compliments of Caitlin Rutkay of C.R. Interior Designs:
Buy best quality bedding you can. Lofty down products and smooth sheeting equal a luxe bed.
Make sure you can catch your zzz’s by layering or blackout lining your draperies to keep light to a minimum.
Don’t shy away from a some drama either with a killer pair of lamps or a chandelier. Even a simple room can be elevated with the addition of sophisticated lighting. Add dimmers for your master bedroom lighting.
