First Day of Spring

Happy Spring! Even though we were just hit with a major snow storm, today officially marks the first day of the spring season. Unfortunately, we can’t break out our spring wardrobe yet but we know that the warmer weather is just around the corner. Here are some pictures of spring in New Jersey to look forward to!

Happy First Day of Spring!

Princeton Tigers

Princeton University Basketball

The Princeton University Men’s Basketball Team will be playing in the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, March 16 at 12:15 PM against Notre Dame University. We wanted to highlight the Princeton Tiger’s players that are from New Jersey. There are 19 players on the team and out of the 19 there are four New Jersey Natives- Amir Bell, Spencer Weisz, Myles Stephens and Richmond Aririguzoh.

Number five, Amir Bell is from East Brunswick where he played basketball at East Brunswick High School. He currently starts for the Tigers as a 6’4″ junior point guard.

Spencer Weisz, number 10, from Florham Park played basketball while attending Seaton Hall Prep and now as a senior plays forward.

Myles Stephens is from Lawrenceville. He attended The Pennington School before transferring to Saint Andrew’s in Delaware. At Princeton he is number 12 as a 6’5″ point guard.

The last New Jersey native is, Richmond Aririguzoh from Ewing where he went to Trenton Catholic. Although, this is his first year at Princeton, Aririguzoh plays center at 6’9″.

Make sure to tune into the game on Thursday to cheer on the Tigers!

March Madness Bar and Restaurant Specials

March Madness is officially here. The tournament began on Tuesday, March 14th and will be running until Monday, April 3rd. We at #HipNJ are so proud to be cheering on our very own, the Princeton Tigers and the Seton Hall Pirates. 12th seeded Princeton University will be playing today March 16th at 12:15 PM, against fifth seeded Notre Dame University on CBS. Ninth seeded Seton Hall University will be playing tomorrow Friday, March 17th at 1:30 PM, against eighth seeded Arkansas University on TNT.

We have details on five great restaurants and sports bars that your friends and family could head to, while you watch our New Jersey teams play. Don’t forget to follow our bracket and make one of your own at GAMES.ESPN.COM.
