Stage Left Steak Launches The Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey

Stage Left Steak in New Brunswick is home to the state’s launch of The Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey, and #HipNJ has the celebration details!

World-renowned Irish Whiskey Master Distiller Darryl McNally, of The Dublin Liberties Distillery, teamed up with Sean Muldoon and Jack McGarry, fellow Irishmen and co-founders of multi-award-winning bar, The Dead Rabbit Grocery and Grog, to create The Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey.

Drawing its inspiration from the notorious Irish street gang, active in New York City in the mid- to late-1800s, The Dead Rabbit Irish Whiskey made its global debut in New York City in February 2018. Only 1,200 cases have been made available, distributed exclusively in NY and now NJ.

Stage Left Steak co-owner Francis Schott has deep roots in New Jersey’s Irish-American community and is celebrating the launch in a big way. Check out the information below!

Cara’s Cucina: Stout Brownies

Today on Cara’s CucinaCara Di Falco celebrates St. Patrick’s Day by teaching us how to make Stout Brownies!

“These brownies are my answer to St. Patrick’s Day,” Di Falco states in the recipe’s accompanying blog. “They’re rich and chocolatey and I included beer!” Check out the official recipe, which makes 1, 8×8 pan, below.

Stout Brownies
3 Tbs. butter
2 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
1/4 C. flour
3 1/4 Tbs. cocoa powder
pinch of salt
2 eggs
1/2 C. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2/3 C. stout beer

20 Years of Celebrations with Avison Young

You haven’t been to a party until you have been to an Avison Young party! 

#HipNJ‘s Lisa Marie Latino was at Horseshoe Tavern in Morristown to commemorate 20 years of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations with the commercial real estate powerhouse. This luck o’ the Irish tradition was started by Ed and Tom Walsh to celebrate their loyal customers, vendors and friends.

Attendees enjoyed a complimentary top-shelf open bar and a delicious buffet spread.  In between snapping pics in front of Horseshoe Tavern’s psychedelic wall and engaging in high-level networking, guests jammed out to the rockin’ sound of HANKANDBEZZY.

“I have had a relationship with Avison Young for 11 years,” explained Kim Sterna, asset manager for DRA Advisors. “They are always so responsive, so happy to help, and eager to help you look better in your position. It’s nice to be here tonight with them in a personal setting.” 

“Avison Young is great to work with…but it’s just as fun to party with them too!” exclaimed Tyler Brewington of Complete Furniture Solutions.

“I think everybody’s having a great time,” said John Petullo, senior project manager of Avison Young. “There’s a lot of good food, good drinks and good people.”
