Where To Eat on Thanksgiving Day

We know the Holidays can be tough sometimes, especially Thanksgiving. Maybe the commute to see family just won’t work this year, maybe you’ve been so swamped at work you hadn’t had time to make plans at all! Lucky for you and your loved ones, there are plenty of restaurants open on turkey day that are ready to provide you a delicious meal. Now that’s something to be thankful for! Check them out:

  1. Veggie Heaven – Denville, Teaneck, & Montclair
Veggie Heaven is a delicious restaurant with tons of items on their menu – ALL vegan, and now with gluten free options! Thanksigiving can be annoying for those with allergy or other dietary restrictions, but this place is open just about all year round to make sure everyone can enjoy a good meal at almost any time.
  2. Madeleine’s Petit Paris – Northvale
Try some french cuisine this Thanksgiving at Madeleine’s! Go a la carte or stick to the pre fix menu – either way you can’t go wrong with this place.
  3. McLoone’s Boathouse – Tinton Falls, Bayonne, West Orange, Hillsborough, Long Branch, Fords, Sea Bright, Asbury Park, Red Bank
Fortunately this spot has a few locations so hopefully there’s one near your home! A cozy place to dine this Thanksgiving – and the food is great, of course.
  4. Morris Tap & Grill – Randolph
If you’d really like to have Thanksgiving food like turkey and pumpkin pie, this is your place! Make a reservation for a traditional buffet style feast from 12-6pm at Morris Tap & Grill (The featured photo at the top of this article is also courtesy of their website!)
  5. Salt Creek Grille – Princeton, Rumson
Make a reservation for a traditional turkey dinner with all the fixings! Don’t miss out on traditional Thanksgiving food.

Here are only a few restaurant ideas, but you’d be surprised how many restaurants are open and happy to serve you and your family on Thanksgiving. However you may spend your day, we at HipNJ hope your holiday is a great one!
