A Most Romantic Night at VENTANAS

A Most Romantic Night at VENTANAS

The perfect Valentine’s Day date? That’s easy! Take your sweetheart to VENTANAS, one of America’s Best 100 Restaurants for a Date 2021, according to opentable.com, a popular global online reservation service serving over 30 thousand restaurants in the U.S.

You can celebrate your love all weekend with our award-winning a la carte menu on Friday, Feb. 11 and Saturday, Feb. 12; and special four-course prix fixe dinner menu on Sunday, Feb. 13 and Monday, Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14 for $105++ per person.

Restaurateur Alexander Duran of Son Cubano and culinary titan Chef David Burke bring a star-awarded Modern-American, Asian, Latin Fusion fare to Fort Lee with plenty of romantic ambiance and “sexy magnetism” according to a solid, three-star NJ Monthly restaurant review.

Ventanas also has a Wine Spectator “Award of Excellence” wine list and an exciting artisan cocktail menu.

If you choose to celebrate with the prix fixe menu, be sure to save room for dessert. Among the several decadent selections is the shareable “Love Tin.” The heart-shaped chocolate cake baked-to-order in its own tin (created by Chef Burke and his talented Corporate Pastry Chef Stuart Marx) is served warm with interactive, individual decadent sides: chocolate sauce, caramel, candy bar crunch, whipped cream and vanilla gelato. There is a surprise served with each cake, and for the sake of fun, it can only be revealed to those who order it. Let’s just say it appeals to the inner child in all of us!

Chef Burke’s Tin Can Cake dessert recently received a special shoutout by Star Ledger’s restaurant reviewer in his list of “21 Best New Restaurants in New Jersey in 2021”, in which James Schneider wrote: “…the tin can cake served with chocolate and caramel sauce, vanilla gelato and heath bar crunch — maybe the best dessert I had all year.”

“Without a doubt my restaurants are serving the best desserts in the state, maybe even the country,” Burke stated. “My talented pastry chef Stuart Marx is as serious as I am about desserts, and we share the same playful sensibility.”

Those who order the Heart-Shaped Tin Cake have an added bonus of keeping the can as a memento while capturing your Valentine’s heart.
