Maria Falzo of #HipNJ and Andrea “Andi” Pasquin of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage recently sat down to discuss the real estate market. Andi Pasquin is a home mortgage consultant and a relocation specialist. She is also part of the President’s Club of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage.
Andi has been in mortgage banking for almost two decades. She has two focuses within mortgage banking: 1) working with wealth clients on complex lending, and 2) working with law enforcement and first responders. Maria noted how Andi is frequently recognized by first responders.
“They’re a very loyal community, and I’ve been part of their community for as long as I’ve been in banking,” Andi explained. “So, just participating in their events and their meetings and their conventions, I guess my face is just recognizable and I do get stopped by police officers – for a good reason.”
Maria and Andi discussed what people should know about the real estate market. They also discussed how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected the tri-state area’s real estate market.
“This last year has been – I would say, in my career – the craziest, wildest ride that I’ve experienced,” Andi said.
Many want to move to the suburbs from the city. There’s a large number of buyers competing for a small number of homes. When Maria asked Andi what buyers should do, the latter said people should get their financing in order before attempting to buy a house. Buyers should educate themselves and search for homes they can afford. If they do this, the realtors and agents will feel confident about sealing the deals.
