Sneaker enthusiast and collector Anthony Caruso, otherwise known as @Just4KicksDaily on Instagram, stopped by the #HipNJ studio to show off some of his hip kicks to our Maria Falzo! Caruso, of Denville, NJ runs an Instagram page where sneaker enthusiasts can be featured showing off their super rare kicks. Caruso himself is an avid collector, owning more than 200 pairs! You can say that’s a ‘feet’ not everyone can accomplish!
Caruso brought with him his all-time favorites, while delving into the inside scoop of a budding culture of sneaker enthusiasts. He gave us a rundown of some of his collection, including the colorful Air Jordan Doernbecher 8, which were designed by a patient of the OSHA Doernbecher Children’s hospital. Every year, a child resident of the Ohio hospital gets the opportunity to design a shoe of their very own. These special sneakers can run up into the thousands to purchase!
Not just a collector, this artist sits behind the drawing board as well. He presented to us his very own sports-inspired shoe that he designed himself at the Nike Lab, showing off the ultra-rarities his collection contains!
Caruso, who has been accumulating sneakers since high school, explained the ethos of the community, as well as inflation by reselling to buyers who sometimes spend quite a bit trying to obtain unique footwear.
Interested to see his collection? Get a firsthand look at Caruso’s special assortment at the upcoming Denim Days festival, where he will present an exhibit for attendees!
