Autumn Activewear with TENCEL has arrived, gyms are beginning to open after months of quarantine, and #HipNJ is prepared to fill you in on where you can find workout clothes that are stylish, comfortable and eco-friendly.
During a recent Skype call with Sharon Pérez, the business development manager for TENCEL™ in the United States, Maria Falzo displayed a variety of TENCEL™ activewear products that are perfect for the fall season.
TENCEL™ is committed to protecting the environment through their wood based fibers. Activewear brands are now offering apparel products with TENCEL™ fibers, helping to provide consumers with sustainable options that are also sturdy and comfortable.
During her call with Sharon, Maria sported an outfit made from TENCEL™’s sustainable fabrics. Sharon described each article of clothing in detail.
Maria wore a tri-blend tank from NoBull, a brand that creates products perfect for weightlifting, made with polyester, TENCEL™ Lyocell and spandex. The cut allows for easy movements, and the anti-chafe seams reduce friction and skin irritation during daily workouts. She paired the top with a pair of studio jogger pants from Athleta, a brand focused on providing products that empower women and girls through movement. The studio jogger is in a TENCEL™ Modal / spandex blend which is why they are soft, quick drying, and packable making them perfect for practicing yoga or for life off the mat. If you’re looking for soft, sustainable, versatile pieces, check out their Nirvana collection.
Maria and Sharon reviewed products from other well-known brands such as Lululemon, New Balance, and Eddie Bauer. The Eddie Bauer joggers are part of their Enliven collection which are made in an easy relaxed fit featuring TENCEL™ Modal, a wood-based fiber made in Austria. Their Enliven collection includes tops and bottoms made to be comfortably worn year-round.
