Top Off Summer With Beth Nydick’s Clean Cocktails

Top Off Summer With Beth Nydick’s Clean Cocktails

Sadly, the summer is closing out and Fall will soon be here. That means its time to throw your last-minute get-togethers or just relax in the sun while we still have the extended daylight. Why not prepare a breezy cocktail and a few healthy snacks while doing so? Well, Beth Nydick came to the #HipNJ studio just in time to show Lisa Marie Latino and the rest of the Garden State, what we can make for those such occasions!

Nydick, is a holistic health coach and the writer of Clean Cocktails, a recipe book of all colorful drinks you can make, all while using natural, non-artificial spirits and other ingredients. According to her website, the recipes use nothing but low-calorie spirits, fresh juices with vitamins, natural sweeteners such as honey, as well as other alternatives that replace refined sugars, dyes, and other artificial ingredients!

The clean mixologist brings her own version of a watermelon margarita, with just using three simple ingredients! She blends about 4 oz of Watermelon water, a cup of fresh lime juice, two shots of tequila, along with ice, which she gently mixes her shaker, which makes about two cocktails. She pours it over ice, garnishing the glass with basil for Lisa and mint for herself! Can we say delish?!

Nydick then puts Lisa to work, to prepare some awesome and healthy appetizers to go with the fruity cocktail! Lisa helps Nydick fill cucumber cups with fresh peas! The peas are blended into a puree with olive oil, mint and a bit of salt. So simple, so healthy and easy to pick up the grocery store! Fill the cup, garnish with your favorite herb and you’re all set! She also shows Lisa another easy snack you can make with just hummus and pesto!

Interested in making your own clean cocktails? Find Beth Nydick at her website and purchase her book on Amazon.
