New Jersey refused to let the harsh heat wave and nasty storms crash its party! Here’s what happened in our favorite state this weekend.

It was complete chaos at MetLife Stadium as the New York Giants “kicked off” the weekend with their game against the Miami Dolphins. Bad storms resulted in an hour-long rain delay before the game even started as well as some soaking wet fans. However, Mother Nature proved herself not to be a complete inconvenience when the storms left a vibrant rainbow over the stadium.

New York Giants offensive guard Justin Pugh posted a video on his Instagram of him and a few of his teammates goofing around and turning up in their shared house in Jersey City. The video went viral over the weekend, reaching over 69,500 views in just 48 hours, and the number is still rising! NJ native English Gardner sprinted her way into the spotlight throughout the Women’s 100 Meter Dash events this weekend. The twenty-four-year-old track star managed to place second in the semifinals and tenth in the final round. Sure, she didn’t bring home a medal, but this Voorhees resident is definitely one to watch in the future! #TeamUSA

Blink-182 pleased the Garden State’s “inner 90’s kid” when they played at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel. The band performed various hits from their new album California which they released this past July. The list of special guests, including A Day to Remember, The All-American Rejects, and All Time Low, made the show even more nostalgic for everyone!
