When we feel the ache for wholesome news, where better to turn than the love in our own communities? This morning, Beach Plum Farm surprised Cape May residents with a beautiful floral sidewalk pop-up.
Beach Plum Farm is a 62-acre inn and active farm, which has supplied local restaurants with fresh goods since 2008. Situated a mere 2 miles from Cape May’s downtown, the Farm is home to 5 historic cottages and barn lodgings for anyone seeking overnight relaxation; their Beach Plum Farm Market also makes fresh produce and kitchen wares available for the everyday home cook.
Among its over 100 products grown on-site, Beach Plum Farm boasts some truly beautiful flowers. The Farm’s surprise “Flower Flash” pop-up on July 22 was intended simply “to spread joy and happiness to neighbors and visiting guests.”
The arrangement was designed and created by the Farm’s talented female team, including lead farmer Christina Albert and farm manager Krystina Kennedy.
This morning’s sunflower display is just one of a series the Farm has planned for the coming weeks. Organizers aim to keep the locations of the next flower pop-ups secret, creating a kind of “hunt.”
In the meantime, Beach Plum Farms encourages tourists and locals alike to share the Flower Flashes on social media. Using the hashtag #BPFFlowerPower, be sure to snap your pics before these beauties wilt!
