We were on hand for Barbells For Boobs, a nationwide event that helps raise money for Mammograms in Action. They are a 501(c)3 non-profit breast cancer organization with the mission to provide funding for qualified low-income and uninsured women and men who need screening and/or diagnostic procedures in the prevention of breast cancer.
KOA Nation came out in a big way- the group raised $5,827 towards the cause!
Jennifer Gregersen of Cranford participated in the event because it holds a special place in her heart- she was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, and it was detected during a routine mammogram. Gabrielle Rossi of Union loved how the crossfit community came together to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research. Similarly, Markovy Jacques of Roselle said events like this “kill two birds with one stone; helping out breast cancer and getting fit at the same time”.
Congratulations KOA Nation for showing how much #HipNJ Cares!
