
WXPN – the non-commercial, member-supported radio station of the University of Pennsylvania – will present its annual, three-day XPoNential Music Festival presented by Subaru from Sept. 16 through Sept. 18 at two adjacent outdoor venues on the Camden, New Jersey waterfront.
With promoter Live Nation, the Festival will present THE WAR ON DRUGS with special guests PATTI SMITH AND HER BAND and GEESE at the Waterfront Music Pavilion on Sept. 16, and NATHANIEL RATELIFF & THE NIGHT SWEATS with special guests THE REVIVALISTS and SNACKTIME there on Sept. 17.
Performing on the two stages at Wiggins Park Sept. 16, 17 and 18 will be JENNY LEWIS, TAJ MAHAL, KATHLEEN EDWARDS, VALERIE JUNE, FELICE BROTHERS, HOUNDMOUTH, THE SUFFERS, LO MOON, SAMANTHA FISH, SARAH SHOOK & THE DISARMERS, THE DIP, BARTEES STRANGE, BUFFALO NICHOLS, BLACK OPRY REVUE, DOS SANTOS, TAMINO, COSMIC GUILT, CATBITE, THE TISBURYS, OMAR’S HAT, HIGHNOON and CHESTNUT GROVE.
Festival tickets will be available for the general public starting Apr. 22 at 10 a.m. ET.
For nearly 30 years, the XPoNential Music Festival has been drawing audiences from the Greater Philadelphia area, Mid-Atlantic region, and Northeastern US to the Delaware Riverfront. Featuring WXPN’s expertly curated mix of established and new artists, the family-friendly festival offers convenient access via public transportation, natural amphitheaters that produce great sound, extensive food, drink, and vendor selections, and festival seating and riverfront promenades that offer spectacular views of the Delaware River and Philadelphia skyline.
