Who would’ve thought that twin sisters from Croatia could come to the United States and offer a completely unique fashion line in both New York and New Jersey? Well, for Marija & Ivana Curic of Curic & Curic, their success through hard work and marketing hasn’t come as much of a surprise for them.
Their company specializes in Eco-Friendly Designs that impact the fashion industry while also being consciences towards the environment. The twins focus most of their work in the denim industry. Their practice of recycling old clothing and other materials into a fashion product has shown their versatility and efforts to provide a sustainable way of producing a clothing line.
Luckily enough, #HipNJ was happy to have both sisters in the studio so they can talk about their company and what ideas they like to expand on. One idea Marjia was particularly fond of was making matching denim outfits for mothers and daughters.
“I think it’s really great because when you’re a mommy, kids are only little kids for a short period of time before they fly away. So we said, ‘Let’s capture that moment’,” said Marjia in regards to her work for the New York Denim Days.
During their interview, they were also kind enough to gift Lisa Marie Latino a denim jacket that featured a New York Giants helmet and the same heart on the cover of Lisa’s book “Ten Years Later”. Watch the interview to see the incredible talent these twins have, and how surprised Lisa Marie is with her beautiful new jacket.
