Getting Trim for the Summer

Getting Trim for the Summer

If you haven’t thought about it already, you need to start work on your preparation for summer if you want to have a body worth showing off on the Jersey Shore. Maybe you’re one of those amazing women who keep their perfect figure all year round, but most of us tend to put on a few pounds over the winter months. #HipNJ gives you our favorite tips and tricks on getting trim for the summer:

The trouble is the time goes by so quickly; one minute you’re shivering in your winter coat, the next you’re trying on new beachwear and seeing where those extra winter pounds are sitting. If you want to look toned and fit for the summer, there’s plenty you can do to achieve that ideal beach body, and if you need an injection of cash to get you going, try a site like https://www.loanpig.co.uk.

Dieting
Forget fad diets, meal replacements, and starvation. You might lose weight, but you’ll be miserable, and when you start eating normally, you’ll probably put on more weight than you lost. Changing what you eat and reducing portion size is the best, most sustainable method of losing weight, with the added bonus that a healthier diet will improve your skin, hair, and nails, make your eyes brighter, and give you more energy and vitality.
You won’t feel so tired and sluggish; you’ll avoid digestive upsets and headaches, and prevent many life-threatening diseases caused by a poor diet. Stick to eating as many fruits and vegetables as you can with some high-quality protein and reduce the fat and carbs.

Exercise
There’s no point being slim if your muscles are so lax you have no shape or tone. Find the exercise plan that works for you, whether that’s three times a week to the gym before or after work, or a jog around the park, or playing sport. Do what you enjoy as much as you can, and add in specific types of exercise to tone up problem areas if need be.

If you can use a personal trainer or enroll on a guided program at the gym, that’s great, as you’ll have someone guiding you and motivating you to achieve your goals. Or meet up with your girlfriends and get fit together; if you can enjoy spending time with people while exercising, you’ll hardly notice the effort you’re putting in.

Aesthetics
Plastic surgery may be something you want to leave until there’s no alternative, but there’s a booming market in aesthetics that could help you refine your shape, and at a fraction of the costs of cosmetic surgery. Have a look at body sculpting services that use laser or radiofrequency technology to either freeze or heat fat cells, destroying them permanently.

Body sculpting is virtually painless, noninvasive, so there are no injections or extractions as there are with traditional liposuction, and you can carry on with your day straight after the procedure. It does take a while for your body to flush out the dead fat cells, so allow sometime before expecting to see results. Body sculpting isn’t a substitute for eating healthily and taking exercise, but it’s a great way of refining your shape when you have the odd bulge.

Start your diet and exercise plan now, and in just a few weeks you’ll see a difference; a few more and you’ll be ready for the summer.
