Mix and Mingle’s Brooke Poller and Jessica Silverstein stopped by the #HipNJ studio to talk with Lisa Marie Latino about all the elements of Halloween. Mix and Mingle also set up our studio with impeccable decor this spooky season.
They discussed the must-haves for a sophisticated adult Halloween party. First things first, invitations are a must to get guests to a party. Then food, drinks, desserts, decor, and music are the other essentials. For decor, Mix and Mingle works with Dream Factory Balloons in Kenilworth who gave us the Halloween balloon arrangement we had in our studio. They also got decor from Parker’s Petals located in Summit. They created an elegant flower skull topped with a hint of hot pink for color.
Food is the most important for any get together. Poller and Silverstein grabbed their food from their partner, Mazellas, based in Mountainside. They’re as philanthropic as they are amazing at what they do! They were able to create bocconcini eyeballs and an edible asiago ghost. These inventive finger foods are convenient for eating whilst still having a conversation.
Kilwins in Westfield provided all the desserts, with easy access having them on sticks. Cocktails were also brought to us by Carlos Ruiz from Cocktails by C.
At the end of every event there’s always party favors to be handed out. These favors from Vine Republic in Mountainside allow you to bring any party back home. Vine Republic has wine that features 19 criminals from 150 years ago that were exiled from England to Australia and are now reimagines to a wine label. You can also make these criminals come to life if you download an app on your phone.
Mix and Mingle has so many details to think about when planning parties, but they are able to do it all! For more information on their company you can follow them on Instagram or visit their website.
