Mary Ann Lotito – research and development at Lotito Foods – taught Maria Falzo of #HipNJ how to create a delicious snack using Folios® Cheese Wraps™.
Folios® Cheese Wraps™ are circular, parbaked sheets of cheese. The brand sells three types of cheeses: cheddar, parmesan, and Jarlsberg®. This product is perfect for cheese lovers, but it’s also good for those who are looking for a low-carb alternative to bread or tortilla rolls.
While visiting the Folios™ kitchen, Maria learned how to make a California Chicken Club Fold Over using the Folios® Cheese Wraps™.
First, they took a sheet of cheese and spread some mayo on it using a rubber spatula. Then they used a knife to cut through the radius of the cheese (from the center of the circle to the edge of the circle). They placed three sliced of precooked chicken on one half of the cheese, and then they added some precooked bacon, tomato, lettuce, and avocado. Once all the ingredients were placed, they folded the cheese sheet over four time, creating a triangular-shaped wrap.
Folios® Cheese Wraps™ aren’t made exclusively for wrapping or folding. They can be used to create a variety of snacks, dinners, and desserts. You can melt them, and you can bake them into a crispy shell.
The Folios® brand was founded by Mary Ann’s husband, Chris Lotito, in 2016. Folios® Cheese Wraps™ is distributed under Lotito Foods, an Italian foods importer based in Edison, NJ.
