On May 23, 2016, Ernest Larini was playing in the Morris Museum‘s Annual Golf Fundraising Outing at the Morris County Golf Club when he won the grand prize of the new Lexus RX model SUV by getting a hole-in-one on a 175 yard hole. Larini said the “exciting part about it was that it was kind of far away especially for me I could not see whether the ball went in the hole and I don’t think anybody did.”
Ernest entered into this fundraiser because he is retired and was trying to find things to fill the time he used to spend working as the executive for Warne-Lambert Company.
After winning the brand new Lexus from Lexus of Route 10, Larini and his wife decided to decline the grand prize car instead asking if Celebrity Motor Car Company could instead donate $5,000 to the Morris Museum. The money donated will go to supporting the Morris Museum’s programs for children.
The Morris Museum was delighted to learn about what happened at the annual golf outing and that the money would help benefit children. “A lot will be impacted at the Morris Museum and hopefully it will benefit the community and a lot of children that come here” Larini stated.
