On Saturday June 22nd, LifeCamp in Pottersville NJ was alive with the sound of bluegrass and the smell of barbecue. Local supporters and friends of the six week summer enrichment program for underserved youth from greater Newark came together to celebrate the start of another season at the LifeCamp Hoedown. This was a celebration to kick off their camp starting that week!
Over 300 children arrived at the same camp on Monday June 24th to enhance their academics, learn to swim, ride bikes, and express themselves creatively. This camp is fun for all kids!
With the money raised from the HoeDown, all the proceeds go to benefit the Nancy Plumeri camper fund. The fund is used to offset the funding gap between what camper families contribute and the actual cost associated with providing an outstanding summer enrichment program.
