Join the Nice Girl Gang with the Little Words Project

#HipNJ’s Maria Falzo spoke with Adriana Carrig about her company the Little Words Project!

As the CEO and Founder of the Little Words Project, Carrig is uniting women to come together and lift each other up, rather than tear each other down. Having grown up surrounded by bullying, mean girls and negativity, she decided to combat that with the Little Words Project.  Starting out from humble beginnings of making bracelets in her parents’ basement, Carrig moved on to grow her company to inspire women from all over.

Little Words Project is an organization that centers around encouraging women to practice self-love and being kind to others. Their handcrafted bracelets are designed with inspirational words and feature a registration tag that allows the bracelet to be registered into the “Nice Girl Gang,” a community of women dedicated to building each other up. When the bracelet owner crosses paths with someone who needs the inspirational word more, they will eventually pass it on so another woman can benefit from its message.

The bracelets have gained notoriety from major celebrities such as Alicia Keys, Tierra Whack and Brooklyn Decker, who have been pictured wearing the bracelets. Carrig emphasized how much the company has grown just through women wanting to partake in simple acts of kindness.

Her inspiration for the iconic block letter design was drawn from childhood nostalgia of friendship bracelet-making and the time where girls weren’t as mean. Her intentions are to bring women back to that safe place of childhood memories through her bracelet designs, all while spreading inspirational positivity.

You can find Adriana on her own Instagram, as well as the Little Words Project too.
