What is your favorite local restaurant?
Metropolitan Cafe in Freehold. I love the food! They have great entertainment all year (inside or outside) and it’s a fabulous place to go for drinks and appetizers.
What is your favorite local boutique?
The Shop By Holly in Colts Neck of course! The items are handpicked, they have beautiful gift wrappings and all the pieces sold are beautiful and eclectic.
What is your favorite salon or spa?
Avanti in Manalapan. It’s a hair salon as well as a spa which is perfect for spoiling yourself! I love the ambiance. You feel like you’re in a home away from home. They take such good care of you. When you get your hair washed, the recliners you sit in are so comfy! I fall asleep every time.
What is your favorite local health and wellness center?
Synergy Wellness and MediSpa in Red Bank. They have a lot of different services from facial treatments to nutrition and weight loss management. It’s like a one-stop-shop for everything. The staff is unbelievable and the ambiance is lovely too!
What is your favorite nighttime hangout?
Anywhere you can get a good dinner and a nice drink, like Cuzin’s in Marlboro. In the summer any Main Street in a local town or down by the Shore on the boardwalk.
What is your favorite local place to do business?
Bassett Furniture in Middletown. It’s easy, it’s reasonable, and the furniture is great quality and they are so accommodating it’s unbelievable. Their salespeople and staff are just wonderful.
What is your favorite “Made in Jersey” product?
Not necessarily a product per se, but there’s nothing like a Jersey tomato.
What is your favorite New Jersey downtown district?
Red Bank 100%!
What is your favorite New Jersey-based service business?
PV Sons Landscaping. It’s my husband’s business, but also they do a fabulous job.
How has COVID-19 affected your business?
It’s doing everything virtually. We’re now taking Zoom calls with clients as opposed to meeting them one on one. People can send me their room dimensions and a few pics and we can go from there. With technology, we are so lucky we can do what we do from home.
