Keri Barnett is a web designer and brand expert from Edison, NJ. Today, she shared some of her Local Love with HipNewJersey.com!
What is your favorite local restaurant?
Hmm..we have a few, but if I had to choose one, it would be Villa Gennaro in Edison. Their food is really good and they were super accommodating when I was pregnant with my daughter. I would order some pretty weird combinations and they would waive the minimum delivery requirement because they were very understanding of my situation!
What is your favorite salon or spa?
Dolce Salon & Spa in Millburn. I like the overall vibe in there- swanky but not stuck up, and they provide great services. Carlos would make my hair color and style look effortless, and I could never duplicate it on my own!
Where is your favorite local place for home decor?
Home Goods – It’s like a treasure hunt. You always find some nuggets.
Where is your favorite local daytime hangout?
Starrrrrrrbucks! The atmosphere there inspires me to focus and get work done.
What is your favorite “Made in Jersey” product?
My favorite “Made in Jersey” product… does pizza count? The arugula pizza from Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza in Edison.
What is your favorite New Jersey downtown district?
Metuchen is super cute. I love that they have all these little boutiques, bookstores, cafes and farmer’s market events with live music.
What is your favorite New Jersey-based service business?
Can I have two? Cielo Consulting, which is a PR firm based in South Orange, because they are extremely professional when we partner up on projects. Also, Tanika Green Artistry, which provides makeup application for various events. Tanika did my makeup for all my website photos and the one I’ve provided for this feature!
How has COVID-19 affected your business?
Thankfully, it hasn’t negatively affected my business too much. Some of my clients have “essential” businesses, so they still need my services. Then, there are other clients whose businesses have been completely halted, so they need my help in creating email campaigns and online services that will keep the ball rolling.
