What is your favorite local restaurant?
My favorite local restaurant is Summit House. The food is always top-notch and they have an amazing bar. They offer very unique wines by the glass and our overall experience at the restaurant is always very pleasing. It’s also my favorite nighttime hangout!
What is your favorite local boutique?
I always enjoy my shopping experience at Willow St in Summit. The staff is extremely helpful and always gives you a warm welcome when you walk in. Their inventory is eclectic and on-trend!
What is your favorite salon or spa?
I love La Maison in Short Hills. It is a small salon so everyone knows your name! My stylist has amazing skills and is great to talk to. They offer both hair and spa services.
What is your favorite local health and wellness center?
I love the Summit Health Shoppe. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about supplements and all health-related issues.
Where is your favorite local place for home decor?
Great House by Bonny Neiman in Summit. She has the most interesting collection of both contemporary and vintage home accessories and furniture. She will help you style an area of your home if you show her photographs either in person or via email.
Where is your favorite local daytime hangout?
My favorite local daytime hangout is Marigolds in Summit. They have great soups, salads, and sandwiches and it is a cozy spot for lunch with friends.
What is your favorite local place to do business?
My favorite place to do business is The Co-Co in Summit. It is a beautiful co-working space where you can network with other like-minded, local business owners. They also offer great workshops and events.
What is your favorite “Made in Jersey” product?
My favorite Made In Jersey product is Esthers Treats! I love their scones, muffins, oat squares, and savory meals. I enjoy seeing them each week at the Summit Farmers Market because they always have a smile to go along with their delicious offerings.
What is your favorite New Jersey downtown district?
I love downtown Summit. There is a great variety of shops and I am really missing being able to walk around and visit my favorite stores.
What is your favorite New Jersey-based service business?
My favorite NJ based business is Bone-In Food. Their mission is to bring farm-fresh produce, meats, and local products right to your door. They have relationships with different local farms and purveyors and believe that having a direct relationship with your source of food will benefit your quality of life.
How has COVID-19 affected your business?
Unfortunately, COVID-19 has put a halt to business. I typically work in person with clients and that has not been possible and, more specifically, the food industry has also been very negatively impacted. In the meantime, I have been photographing recipes at home and feature different businesses in my Feature Friday Instagram posts to make people aware of the food businesses that are still in operation.
