This past weekend, New Jersey was home to such a diverse range of amazing events! Here are some of our favorites!
LGTBQ+ Pride Month Kicked off in Asbury Park
Pride Month began in NJ with the first celebration in Asbury Park. The festivities began at noon, and the Asbury Park streets quickly filled with a parade, food, and performances.
The parade traveled from City Hall to Ocean Avenue. This kickoff is only the beginning! Pride will continue to be celebrated throughout the month in the Garden State.
Saquon Barkley of the NY Giants Hosts Local Football Camp
West Essex High School in Caldwell was visited by New York Giants Running Back, Saquon Barkley. He hosted an open football camp this past weekend on Giants’ campus to boys and girls in first to eighth grade.
Barkley’s intention was to help attendees boost their performance in the game. This camp proved to be a success by drawing in over 400 kids.
Dog Expo at the Meadowlands Expo Center
Many New Jersey pet owners made their way over to the Dog Expo over the weekend. The event consists of shopping, training, and education. One of the main goals of the expo is to promote rescuing and fostering dogs in need.
Check out their website for more information on the event and how to rescue a local pup!
10th Annual Renaissance Faire Comes to an End
The past three weekends the NJ Renaissance Faire has been in Bordentown. Attendees were able to watch live jousts, fire-eating performers, and glassblowing demonstrations. Even though the Faire has come to an end, stay updated on their website for smaller events they are holding throughout the summer.
