Chris Lotito, the president of Lotito Foods and the founder of Folios® Cheese Wraps™, and Maria Falzo of #HipNJ combed through the snacks they created.
Folios® Cheese Wraps™ are lightly baked sheets of cheese. They’re a keto-friendly, gluten-free alternative to bread and tortilla rolls. The available flavors are mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan, and Jarlsberg.
According to Chris, the Folios® brand was created out of necessity. Lotito Foods needed a way to transport products without damaging them. This eventually led to creating and selling cheese wraps through retail.
“As soon as people realized that they could have a gluten-free tortilla, it went viral,” Chris said.
You can use Folios® Cheese Wraps™ to create all kinds of snacks. You can wrap them, melt them, or crisp them.
Chris created chips using the cheese wraps. First, he cut the cheese into several small triangles. Next, he sprinkled seasoning on top of the triangles. Finally, he microwaved the triangles, and the triangles became nice and crispy.
He also created pizza using the cheese wraps as a base. Instead of using bread or dough for the crust, Chris microwaved the cheese until it hardened. After that, he added tomato sauce, shredded cheese, and pepperoni.
Chris created edible bowls by microwaving the cheese wraps and molding them before they completely hardened. These bowls can be used for salads. He also created smaller bowls and filled them with eggplant parmesan.
Maria helped Chris create an Italian panini using the Folios® Cheese Wraps™.
Chris showed Maria the chicken empanadas celebrity chef George Duran made using the cheese wraps. (Maria got to meet George and help him make a steak quesadilla.)
