4’9” and filled with ambition, Mr. Cory sat down with Frank Sorrentino III, CEO of ConnectOne Bank, to talk business for the new #HipNJ mini-series, “Big CEO, Little CEO!” Mr. Cory will be talking to Garden State business moguls about how they made it the the top of their respective industries!
Frank started working in construction before realizing his potential in banking. His hunch was right on; he launched ConnectOne Bank in 2005 to amazing results!
According to ConnectOne Bank’s website, the company is “is built on a history of connecting to our customers’ needs.” ConnectOne Bank “understand[s] that “little things matter” and focus on those things when providing creative financial products and customize solutions to help our clients achieve financial prosperity for themselves, their family and their business.” When a company is built on principals such as these, the only possible outcome is success!
Mr. Cory, successful entrepreneur and owner of Mr. Cory’s Cookies, asked Frank for suggestions on how to face challenges that he may come across as a business owner. Frank’s advice to Mr.Cory was: “Be as curious as you can be about every aspect of business; it will get you very far!” He is already very impressed that Mr. Cory has managed to whip up this successful company at such a young age.
Although founders of two very different businesses, these gentlemen bonded over the most important women in their lives: their mothers. Both were raised to be very harder workers and were taught at a very young age the importance of giving your all.
Mr. Cory sees his company turning into a billion dollar cookie empire in the future, and Frank could not agree more.
