Hey #HipNJ, today is #NationalCandyDay! To celebrate, let’s take a look at some of the most extravagant candy shops in the Garden State!
1. Candylicious, Randolph
This candy shop has quite the variety of sweets. Everything from bulk candy, chocolates, old-time favorites, new items, cake pops, brownie pops, and more can be found in the store! They are also a terrific birthday party spot!
2. Jenkinson’s Ice Cream & Sweet Shop, Point Pleasant
A 90-year tradition, Jenk’s Sweet Shop is an iconic candy shop located right on the boardwalk. They are known for their delicious salt water taffy with flavors such as banana, peanut butter, and watermelon. You can also find other tasty sweets such as ice cream, coated apples, chocolates, and fudge. Yum!
3. It’s Sugar, Atlantic City, Tinton Falls, Ocean City, Wildwood
At It’s Sugar, size is the name of the game. They are home to the famous cereal-box-sized boxes of candy and offer a great deal of 3 big boxes for $33. They also have a really neat Stranger Things line of products including a gummy Eggo waffle, and Upside Down candy bar, and a milk carton with a “Missing Barb” ad.
4. Sugarfina, Short Hills
Sugarfina is the mecca for tasty yet aesthetically pleasing candy. Their shop features treats like champagne gummy bears, rosè roses, sassy strawberries, blood orange fruttinis, and super sour hearts. If you love sweets with a touch of charm, this is the place for you!
5. Shrivers Salt Water Taffy and Fudge, Ocean City
It’s in their name, so it’s safe to assume their taffy and fudge is top notch, and that is definitely true. There are several taffy flavors to choose from such as strawberry-banana, sour apple, super smashing sour, spicy pumpkin, and bubblegum. Like the taffy, there are plenty of fudge flavors such as chocolate marshmallow, rocky road, pistachio, and maple walnut. They also serve macaroons, chocolates, and mint rolls.
Satisfy your sweet tooth this #NationalCandyDay at any one of these fantastic candy shops!
