NJ Ad Club Announces Inductees for Advertising Hall of Fame of New Jersey

#HipNJ spoke with NJ Ad Club President Franco Zito about the 2016 inductees for the Advertising Hall of Fame of New Jersey. Inductees will be honored at a gala awards ceremony at the Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange.

This honor is bestowed annually on professionals who have made significant, lasting contributions to the advertising industry in New Jersey. Criteria used to evaluate if an individual qualifies for the Hall of Fame include the extent to which they have demonstrated creativity and professional integrity.

“Once we get all the nominations in, there is a committee that reviews the submissions,” Zito says. This committee is made up of board members, as well as previous Hall of Fame inductees. The nominees are scored according to a specific criteria, and those with the highest scores across the committee are then chosen to be inducted.

Inductees include Sally Glick, Sobel & Co., LLC; Ed Kessel, Sound Imagination, Inc; Jessica Levin, Seven Degrees Communications, LLC; Tom Marguccio, SCG Advertising & Public Relations and Monica Smith, Marketsmith, Inc..

“I am so excited about this year’s Advertising Hall of Fame Nominees,” Zito says. “The tremendous achievement of these individuals is indicative of the type of talent available in New Jersey and the NJ Ad Club. I congratulate this year’s winners and am humbled by their awesome achievements.”

The NJ Ad Club promotes industry resources, creates a dialogue on issues of importance to the advertising community, helps members develope new skills, and provides opportunities for business relationships with New Jersey-based companies.

“Our goal is to make sure we are recognizing advertising industry in New Jersey for all of its accomplishments, and making sure we have a place where we can network as an industry within the state,” Zito says. “We want to share accomplishments, network, and let people know who we are and what we can do for the industry.”
