#HipNJ recently attended a #hip business event at Saks Fifth Avenue Short Hills!
In honor of Women’s History Month, the OMG Tea Party hosted the OMG Women in Business Master Class Experience in partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue of Short Hills and Flagg Labor. The champagne reception-style event centered around a lively discussion entitled “Leadership, Life and Success on Your Own Terms”. The esteemed panel was made up of NJ BIZ 2016 Lifetime Achievement Recipient, Sally Glick, Principal and Chief Growth Strategist of Sobel & Co.; Dorinda Walker, Vice President of Consumer Strategy and Key Initiatives Multicultural Marketing at Prudential U.S.; Kristi Brink, Vice President and General Manager of Saks Fifth Avenue Short Hills; Zakiyyah Sheila Flagg, CEO of Flagg Labor; Kim Keating, Founder and Chief Marketing Strategist of GIVE Marketing; and Shakira Johnson, Creative Director for Johnson PR & Events and The OMG Tea Party.
Shelly Aberson, president and founder of Aberson Narotzky & White, was very impressed by the event. “When Shakira said she was looking for mentors to help the girls here, I jumped at the chance. I’m so impressed!”
Brittany Hale, an attorney for Mayor Michael Bloomberg, was also very inspired by the positive energy that filled the room. “My favorite lesson from the evening was that success may not always look and feel like you thought it would. Once you achieve what you think is success, discovering that it may not look and feel like you want it to is not something people always expect.”
The event surpassed the expectations of OMG Tea Party founder Shakira Johnson! “It just shows that women are interested in these types of events. It promotes bonding, sisterhood and it’s also great for everyone’s respective businesses!”
After the discussion, attendees were treated to a make-up master class hosted by Estee Lauder and a fragrance sampling courtesy of Tom Ford.
