“This our fourth Ferrari event, and we’ve chose [to support] Parkinson’s because Richard Stein, who is a client of ours, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s seven years ago,” said Cheryl Press of George Press Jewelers. “We actually let Richard choose which part of the Parkinson’s affiliation that he wanted to donate to, and he selected the Unity Walk.”
Richard Stein has been living with Parkinson’s for the past seven years of his life, and was told five years ago he won’t be able to drive, walk or work. Not only is he still able to do all those things, but is making each day count by embracing life and buying Ferrari’s “in clumps.” His five (!) models were on glorious display for the droves of supporters.
According to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, as many as one million people in the U.S. are living with Parkinson’s.
