PG Chambers held a Casino Night to raise awareness and gain donations to continue their mission of discovering the full potential of children with disabilities and developmental delays and providing inclusive early education for children with and without disabilities.
“It’s amazing to see how many people donated to our school,” a school worker stated. “Without the donations, we wouldn’t survive.”
Another guest described his excitement for the themed night, citing the setup, atmosphere, location, food, drinks, and people. “Casino night brings a lot of pizzazz,” he said.
Two parents whose children have attended PG Chambers for seven years were eager to praise the school and the experience that their children have had. “They have the most wonderful teachers who are so dedicated to these kids. I don’t know what I would do if the school weren’t here. I know she is loved and being taken care of and learning,” the mother said.
“PG Chambers is a nonprofit, so they have a certain amount of money that they get from school districts to pay some of their costs. With all the therapists and teachers they have to offer, it costs a lot more for the kids to attend than what the school takes in from school districts,” one of the parents explained. So, this event helps pay their staff and get special equipment for the students. The school is known to tailor whatever it is that their students need, figuring out a way no matter the cost.
The newest member of the development team says that his favorite thing about PG Chambers is the students, families, and people that work there. “PG Chambers attracts a certain kind of person. You don’t just find it by accident, and you don’t just interact with these children by accident. I can tell you for a fact that these children directly benefit from tonight.” He went on to say that he went to PG Chambers himself for early intervention, and now works to raise money for the school because he wants it to be there for children now and in the future.
“We are here to support this wonderful school that is for special needs children,” a guest stated. This year’s event is the school’s biggest yet. To learn more about PG Chambers, head over to their website.
