From the Class of ’63 to the Class of 2011, “Many Are One” gathered at the Seton Hall University Alumni Awards Gala.
HipNJ’s Kelly Dillon, Seton Hall Class of ’06, was on the scene to celebrate with her fellow alumni who have positively changed the world.
“’Many Are One’ is actually one of my favorite events to come to every year,” said Ryan Garrity, Class of 2011 Alumni and Vice President of the Alumni Club. “I get to see a lot of young alumni and a lot of older alumni that I met in my time there, reconnect with them and really see what they’ve been up to since I last saw them.”
Seton Hall Law Alumni Class of ’06, Gregory Acquaviva, was the night’s honoree.
“The law school especially has been so great to me,” Acquaviva said. “To be recognized for all my efforts is very humbling at the end of the day.”
Acquaviva said the law school has not only turned the key to prepare him for his professional career, but has opened so many doors that otherwise would have been locked.
Other alumnus echoed his sentiments throughout the night.
“Seton Hall has made all the difference in my life and in my career,” Nicholas R. Scalera, Seton Hall Alumni ’63 said. “I consider it my second home.”
Scalera said the “Many are One Alumni Awards Gala” raises money for scholarships, which he is all about! In fact, he started his own scholarship, The Nicholas Scalera Scholarship, in 2007.
“That’s something that is very important to me,” Scalera said. “I’m very proud of it.”
Pirate pride was flaunted all over the event and with this pride, many are always one at Seton Hall University.
