While coronavirus cases fall in the Garden State, we can’t forget everyone working hard to keep us safe! The Brother International Corporation recently gifted 10 brand-new sewing machines to the Mask Squad of Somerset County.
The Mask Squad is a volunteer organization dedicated to making and distributing face masks. With mask use strongly recommended during the coronavirus crisis, the group helps protect first-responders in addition to healthcare workers.
The Squad has been manufacturing masks from the safety of their own homes, but some volunteers were working with outdated or broken equipment. That’s when Brother International—known for their office and home machinery—stepped in to help.
Based in Bridgewater, NJ, the Brother International Corporation gifted 10 new, heavy-duty machines to Mask Squad volunteers. The Mask Squad has produced 15,000 masks to-date, and hope to keep up the good fight with new, reliable equipment.
