Stephanie Zecca is the vice-president of Zecca’s Custom Homes, and she is a sales associate at Keller Williams Realty in Summit, NJ. She recently met with Maria Falzo at Industrious, the new coworking space located in the Mall at Short Hills.
During her interview with #HipNJ, Zecca described her time as a New Jersey realtor. She discussed how the real estate business is doing well because people from the city are migrating to New Jersey, and when realtors can figure out these patterns, that’s when they can do well.
“Real estate – right now – is on fire,” Zecca said.
She also feels that real estate is a way to help others, and that’s what gets her fired up every day. But she also wanted to take helping others to another level, so she began to explore kindness as a form of rebellion. “I’m going to make the choice to be kind every day.”
Stephanie Zecca brought Maria a gift bag filled with items from several female entrepreneurs who started their own businesses. The items included in the gift bag were a bottle of beauty oil from IRÉN Skin, a bag of chocolate-covered berries, a New Jersey dish towel from Sustainable Haus (where you can reuse and recycle with your own containers) and more. One gift was from Zecca’s mother-in-law, and one gift was from Zecca herself; she gave Maria a wooden house decoration with the words “It’s cool to be kind” written on the front.
When Zecca isn’t doing real estate, she enjoys powerlifting and spreading kindness.
