Philip Petracca, founder and CEO of Fizzics, joined Lisa Marie Latino in the #HipNJ studio to discuss the revolutionary draft beer system.
About four years ago, Petracca and co-founder David McDonald were having a draft beer and got into a discussion on why beer tastes so good when it is fresh from the tap. “Ten months later, we developed the technology that utilizes sound waves and pours the beer under pressure,” Petracca says. “What we’ve done is make the foam taste delicious.”
The campaign kicked off on Indiegogo, making a quarter million dollars. The pair found success elsewhere as well, specifically on ABC’s Shark Tank. “It was a tremendous experience,” Petracca recalls. “We ended up doing one of the highest deals ever on the history of the show with Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner.”
All of this has been done out of the Garden State.“We’re proud to be born and raised in New Jersey,” Petracca states before giving us a demonstration, which can be seen in the video above!
Season 23 of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars has come to a close, and we finally know who walked away with the coveted Mirrorball trophy…Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez of Old Bridge!
Hernandez signed on to the show shortly after competing at the Rio Games, and compares her most recent win to earning a gold medal. “Honestly, I feel like they tie for each other,” she said. “I feel like the Olympics, as a little kid it was such a big goal that I created for myself and I was able to push through and make that happen. So for the Mirrorball — well, I’ve always loved to dance and that was my passion along with gymnastics, so winning the Mirrorball today was insane and amazing,” she told US Weekly.

Her partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, won the trophy once before with Rumer Willis in 2015. Hernandez and Chmerkovskiy have formed a friendship that goes beyond the show. “At the end of the day it’s not about the Mirrorball, it’s about the friendships that you create, and I created a friendship with an incredible young lady that I’ll be rooting for for a very long time,” Chmerkovskiy told Us.
What’s next for this dancing duo? Hernandez plans to join Chmerkovskiy on the Dancing With the Stars Tour next year.
