Amy Schumer New Fall Tour

Amy Schumer will kick off the first leg of her new comedy tour on Thursday, September 20th at New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, New Jersey. Featuring all new material, the tour will make additional stops in Nashville, Austin, and Atlanta. Additional dates will be announced soon.

Comedy superstar Amy Schumer – one of the entertainment industry’s leading forces, as a stand-up comedian, actress, writer, producer and director – kicks off the first leg of her all-new comedy tour at NJPAC!

Amy Schumer is the creator, star, writer and executive producer of Comedy Central’s award-winning Inside Amy Schumer, which earned the 2015 Writers Guild Award for Best Comedy/Variety Sketch series. That same year, the show was honored with the first-ever Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Sketch Variety Series. Inside Amy Schumer has also earned awards from the Television Critics Association, the Critics’ Choice Television Awards, and was the recipient of the prestigious Peabody Award in 2014.

Schumer’s New York Times bestseller, The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, earned her a 2017 GRAMMY Award nomination for Best Spoken Word Album and was released in paperback in August 2017. Her big-screen credits include the smash hit Trainwreck, the mother-daughter comedy Snatched (in which she starred opposite Goldie Hawn), Jason Hall’s drama Thank You for Your Service, and this summer’s I Feel Pretty.

The Leather Special, Schumer’s latest stand-up special, is currently streaming on Netflix. Her 2015 HBO special, Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo (directed by Chris Rock), became HBO’s most-watched Saturday night comedy special debut since 2009. She was recently nominated for a Tony Award for her Broadway debut in Steve Martin’s Meteor Shower. Schumer also holds the distinction of being the only female comic to headline at Madison Square Garden, and is a proud founding member of Time’s Up.

Food Friday: Restaurant Latour

Restaurant Latour and their remarkable Wine Cellar at Crystal Springs Resort added a new honor to the many praises and awards they have received since their opening. This month they found out that they were inducted into the Wine Enthusiast America’s Best Wine Restaurant Hall of Fame!

A recurring participant on Wine Enthusiast’s America’s 100 Best Wine Restaurants list, this year Restaurant Latour was elevated to the newly created Restaurant Hall of Fame. The restaurant joins industry stars such as The French Laundry, Per Se, Daniel, Gramercy Tavern and Eleven Madison Park. In all, over 30 restaurants were enshrined in the Hall of Fame –Restaurant Latour is the only one from New Jersey.

Also this month, Wine Spectator once again awarded Restaurant Latour its highest honor, the Grand Award – only 91 restaurants worldwide hold the distinction. Restaurant Latour has received this prestigious award every year since 2006.

Overseen by Crystal Springs Resort C.O.O Robby Younes and Wine Director Susanne Wagner, the Wine Cellar at Crystal Springs is considered one of the finest collections of wine in the country with more than 105,000 bottles.
