The Final Four.

New Jersey may not be apart of the 2017 NCAA Tournament’s Final Four but #HipNewJersey is still routing for our East side team, South Carolina.

North Carolina vs South Carolina and Gonzaga vs Oregon are scheduled to play on April 1 deciding who will move on to the next round on April 3.

Seton Hall Pirates

Seton Hall University Basketball

Today at 1:30 PM the Seton Hall Pirates are taking on the Arkansas Razorbacks. The Pirates have three players that grew up in New Jersey. These players are: Myles Powell, Ismael Sanogo and Manny Anderson.

Myles Powell is from Trenton where he attended Trenton Catholic. As a freshman, Myles is a shooting guard for the Pirates.

Ismael Sanogo is from Newark and he attended East Side High School. He is a junior forward.

Finally, Manny Anderson is from Franklin. He went to The Hun School then transferred to Worcester Academy.

Princeton Tigers

Princeton University Basketball

The Princeton University Men’s Basketball Team will be playing in the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, March 16 at 12:15 PM against Notre Dame University. We wanted to highlight the Princeton Tiger’s players that are from New Jersey. There are 19 players on the team and out of the 19 there are four New Jersey Natives- Amir Bell, Spencer Weisz, Myles Stephens and Richmond Aririguzoh.

Number five, Amir Bell is from East Brunswick where he played basketball at East Brunswick High School. He currently starts for the Tigers as a 6’4″ junior point guard.

Spencer Weisz, number 10, from Florham Park played basketball while attending Seaton Hall Prep and now as a senior plays forward.

Myles Stephens is from Lawrenceville. He attended The Pennington School before transferring to Saint Andrew’s in Delaware. At Princeton he is number 12 as a 6’5″ point guard.

The last New Jersey native is, Richmond Aririguzoh from Ewing where he went to Trenton Catholic. Although, this is his first year at Princeton, Aririguzoh plays center at 6’9″.
