Dr. Sonia Tolani on the “Love My Heart” App

Dr. Sonia Tolani, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia Doctors and Co-Director of Columbia Women’s Heart Center at Columbia University Medical Center, sat with Steve Adubato on “One-on-One” to discuss the “Love My Heart” app.

The “Love My Heart” app helps women better manage their healthcare and heart health. Developed by cardiologists who specialize in women’s cardiovascular disease, the Risk Calculator empowers women to determine their own personal risk for development of heart disease.

“Unlike the myriad of things out there,” Tolani says, “it’s simple and it gives you the information that you need.” Once you are given your risk, the app gives suggestions on how to improve. This is all done from your phone.
