Luxury Garage Sale

Founded by childhood friends Brielle Buchberg and Lindsay Segal, Luxury Garage Sale is the result of its co-founders’ extensive experience in fashion, retail, marketing and styling. Their deep knowledge informed Luxury Garage Sale’s consignment and sales processes, which are setting new standards in the luxury resale industry. With boutiques in Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis and Seattle, and a state-of-the-art e-commerce platform, Luxury Garage Sale has been featured in notable media such as Vogue, Refinery29, Marie Claire and ELLE.

Luxury Garage Sale customers are privy to a rewarding shopping experience because of its talented stylists and superior merchandising. “We really know our customers, and select the pieces we feature in each pop-up shop with its location in mind. Our market expertise and style acumen make it possible for shoppers to find exceptional staples—as well as rare pieces that can be transformative,” said Buchberg.

An equally strategic approach informs Luxury Garage Sale’s consignment process. “It’s intuitive and hassle-free, because we know when it comes to coveted, gently used designer pieces our clients rely on us for the most effective reselling experience and return on investment,” said Segal. “Our in-house market experts evaluate, authenticate, photograph and price every item we consign, and go the extra mile to meet our clients’ requirements and needs.”

Kingpins Show Presents: Trend

#HipNJ had the pleasure of attending Kingpins exclusive fashion presentation in NYC, Denim Trends, for their S/S 2019 season! The event featured an installation of garments using in-season fabrics, and we were nothing short of impressed at all the gorgeous looks we could find!

A view of the simultaneously gorgeous & edgy setup.

Boutique Bazaar: The spotlight on the Middle East that drove last season’s fascination with re-worked Arabic typefaces further evolves this season to drive a more sophisticated, sun-bleached desert-inspired summer story. Time-worn textiles marry with ultra-faded indigos, cementing this as the season’s true vintage denim theme. Explore authentic artisanal crafts and techniques including border prints, Islamic geometric, hand-loomed blanket stripes & tufted surfaces.”

Shirt: Aruind, Pants: Cazik

Summer Goth: The Noughties is the new era everyone is drawing inspiration from, due to the recent obsession with the near-nostalgia. Maligned subcultures of the decade collide: emo-heroes such as Marilyn Manson & trash-fashion icons Paris Hilton and Ed Hardy mix with Y2K race references to create a new susubversive anti-cool look. Tap into musical genres of the era, including nu-metal, goth and grunge to influence both styling, detail and surface. Punched and deconstructed denim is paired with bootlegged metal typefaces and patches, S&M gothic detailing and grunge-inspired destroyed plaids.”

Our favorite presentation we came upon (among the many!) was by Amy Leverton of Denim Dudes.

Denim Dads: Just when you thought it couldn’t get any more normal…Drawing inspiration from the mundane, this story evolves from the anti-fashion movement epitomized by norm core & athleisure. Taking elements of last season’s youth-driven sports-casual styling & mixing it with sensible apparel, Denim Dads encompasses a look that references suburban middle-aged dad style. This is a story all about wardrobe essentials: the regular 5-pocket jeans, the practical cagoule, the ugly sneaker, the blazer, and the basic tee.”

We definitely recommend perusing Kingpins’ website – you might find some inspiration!
