Newly Engaged? Visit Edgewood Country Club!

Did you become a newly engaged #HipNJ couple this holiday season? You’re not alone – according to WeddingWire.com, 40% of all engagements occur between Thanksgiving and Valentines Day. This, coupled with the fact that engagement periods are getting shorter than in generations past, means the competition is fierce for your dream date and venue.

#HipNJ suggests you make an appointment sooner rather than later to visit one of the Garden State’s premier wedding spots: Edgewood Country Club in River Vale!

Candice Timmerman, event coordinator of Edgewood Country Club, stopped by the #HipNJ studio to chat with our Lisa Marie Latino about the club’s brand-new modern amenities.

Edgewood Country Club, founded in 1956 on the grounds of two former pre-Revolutionary War farmsteads that were later converted into a country manor estate, offers distinctive facilities in a warm, but sophisticated, setting. The club’s jewel is an impeccably-maintained, 27-hole golf course, staffed by PGA-certified golf professionals. It also boasts one of New Jersey’s largest heated swimming pools, a cardio and strength training fitness facility, and a newly decorated clubhouse for both member and non-member dining and special events.

The clubhouse, which offers fine dining and gracious service, is host to many events such as weddings, golf outings, banquets, bar/bat mitzvahs and other parties for up to 400 guests.

In 2017, Edgewood Country Club completed a full-scale renovation and enhancement project, which only added to the property’s beauty and charm.

“I think Edgewood encompasses a lot of what today’s young couples are looking for,” explained Candice. “As it is very modern but elegant. A lot of couple tells me it very much reminds them of the color schemes of their own apartments…so it’s very much the right feel for the engaged today.”

Candice also explains how couples can truly make their special day their own- no “cookie cutter” packages here!
