Already known for their mix of Korean and Asian-inspired sandwiches (like the Korean Cheesesteak) and bowls, Wich-One in Cliffside Park has added some fun new menu items. Three empanadas have made their way onto the permanent menu, offering a great addition to any meal as a side dish or perfect as a bite on it’s own. There are two savory and one sweet option:
K Fiery Drunken Chicken: spicy Korean red pepper-braised chicken marinated in soju and mozzarella
Korea Nitas: pulled pork carnitas, sweet soy braised, onions and mozzarella
Asian Pear: Asian pear, custard; dusted with cinnamon sugar
“Customers have been asking for something to complement our existing menu”, says owner Marcello Chi, “Empanadas, like sandwiches and bowls, are a great vessel for our mix of Asian ingredients and flavors — they fit perfectly with our existing brand”.
Available for dine-in, takeout or delivery, Wich-One is open Monday thru Saturday. Catering empanada orders are also available by calling the store at (201) 840-8111.
