#NationalSandwichDay 5 of NJ’s Best Sandwiches

Hey #HipNJ, today is #NationalSandwichDay! To celebrate, let’s take a look at 5 of the Garden State’s most mouthwatering sandwiches!

1. Fat Darrell, RU Hungry, New Brunswick

RU Hungry is home to the famous fat sandwich, a concoction of a hoagie roll, finger food, and usually lettuce, tomato and french fries. Their best-seller is the Fat Darrell, topped with chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, marinara sauce, and french fries. It is a must-stop if you are ever in the Rutgers area!

2. Brunchwich, The Committed Pig, Manasquan, Morristown & Summit

The Committed Pig is known for the Brunchwich, their modern-twist on brunch and sandwiches. This sandwich is a bacon, egg, and cheese on french toast. Sounds SO good! Check out any one of their three locations located around the state!

3. Deli Sandwich, Harold’s NY Deli, Edison

It’d be in your best interest to bring a few friends with you to this famous deli known for their gargantuan sandwiches. The meats you can choose from include corned beef, hot pastrami, roast beef, brisket, turkey, salami and more. The huge serving size almost guarantees you’ll be walking out with a hearty box of leftovers!

4. White House Special, White House Subs, Atlantic City

Located on Atlantic City’s Arctic Avenue, White House Subs has been one of the best sub shops in the Garden State for decades. Their signature sandwich is the White House Special which is a classic Italian sub topped with extra salami, provolone, ham, and capicola.

5. Cheesesteak, Donkey’s Place, Camden

“Hang your head in shame, Philadelphia, the best cheesesteak in the country is whipped up across the Delaware in Camden, New Jersey” (NY Post). Served on a poppy seed bun and often topped with hot peppers and onions, this cheesesteak is claimed to be arguably the best in the country. It was even featured on Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown!

On Saturday, August 4, 2018, Lori Loughlin hosted BELLA’s Hamptons White party at Southampton Social Club. The evening’s presenting sponsors were Prosecco DOC and Brussels Airlines. Other sponsors included 1907water, Rosé All Day, True Vodka, Dune Jewelery, Lavishly Tan, Land Rover of Southampton, VICKI Viatouch Media, Rose All Day, Calyx Concierge, Plastic Surgery of New York, L’Amy and Optyx.

Special guests included Courtenay Hall (BELLA Editor-in-Chief), Daniel Hall (BELLA Chief Brand Strategist), Lori Loughlin (Netflix’s Fuller House), Bill Abbott (President of Hallmark), Andy Hilfiger (Fashion Personality), Donald Paul (FX’s “Atlanta”), Melissa Bolona (Actress), Camille Kostek (Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model), Dr. Tabasum Mir (Bravo’s “The Singles Project”), Any Peeke (TV Host), Natalie Vie (Olympic Fencer), Rita Cosby (TV Correspondent for Inside Edition), Anne Liguori (Sports Radio & TV Personality), Charmaine Bingwa (actress), Jim Chandler (Actor/Producer), Jenn Gotzen-Chandler (Actor/Producer), Ian Duke, and Liana Werner-Gray (Influencer).

Lori Loughlin says, “It’s always great to be back on Long Island. But I do come back here all the time. My family lives here, so I come back a few times a year anyway. But, it’s great to be out in the Hamptons, this party is lovely and beautiful. My families here today so that makes it extra special. It’s just nice to be out here. It’s the air and the atmosphere that you know it reminds me of my childhood. I love all of it.”

Ozy Fest 2018

OZY FEST

This July, Ozy fest 2018 is coming to Central Park in NYC!  Ozy Fest features today’s hottest music, laugh out loud comedy, global business leaders, best selling authors, cultural influencers, and award winning chefs who are ahead of their time and worthy of yours.

The New York Times describes it as “part music festival, part TED talk, part food fair,” and CNBC as “New York’s answer to SXSW.” Furthermore, Townsquare says, “Join the conversation. Hear from leading politicians, best-selling authors and outspoken activists as they debate some of the most profound challenges of our time, and predict where the world is headed.”

On Saturday, July 21st, doors open at 11a.m. and the show runs until 10p.m. The lineup includes: Young the Giant, Common, Hillary Clinton, Laurene Powell Jobs, Hasan Minhaj, Martha Stewart, Marcus Samuelsson, Salman Rushdie, Alex Rodriguez, Tony Gonzalez, Roxane Gay, Tim Brown, Tom Perez, Steven Pinker, Rep. Mark Sanford, Rose McGowan, Isaac Mizrahi, Christian Siriano, Grover Norquist, Ruth Zukerman, Robert Herjavec.

On Sunday, July 22nd, doors also open at 11a.m. The show runs until 6p.m. The lineup includes: Passion Pit, Grouplove, Chelsea Handler, Michelle Wolf, Malcolm Gladwell, Laverne Cox, Jemele Hill. In addition, Roy Choi, Sanaa Lathan, Tom Steyer, Scott Rogowsky, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand will be in attendance.

OZY FEST is something you experience — not something you just attend,” the Ozy Fest organizer says. “Experience show stopping performances from your favorite musicians and comedians. Taste global cuisines curated by celebrity chefs.”

The event takes place on July 21 and July 22. Doors open at 11 a.m. on both days, and consist of back to back entertainment.
