Dr. Stuart Geffner on “Live From Surgery”

Dr. Stuart Geffner, Director of Transplant Surgery at RWJBarnabas Health, met with Steve Adubato on “One-on-One” to discuss the “Live from Surgery” program at Liberty Science Center.

“Live from Surgery” is an interactive program offering students a unique opportunity to peer into an operating room and interact with medical experts. This powerful learning experience exposes students to careers in biotechnology and medical science. “It’s an absolutely spectacular program,” Geffner said.

Mark Graham on Vets4Warriors

Mark Graham, Major General, US Army (Retired) & Senior Director, Rutgers UBHC National Call Center & Director, Vets4Warriors, sat with Steve Adubato on “One-on-One” to discuss the variety of support Vets4Warriors provides to our returning heroes.

Vets4Warriors is a national 24/7 peer support network for veteran and military communities. It is 100% staffed by trained veterans and members of the military community, their families or caregivers.

WNYC’s Jami Floyd On Race, Love, and Identity

WNYC’s Jami Floyd, host of “All Things Considered,” sat with Steve Adubato on “One-on-One” to discuss the importance of conversations around race, love and identity.

Floyd believes that this country is missing moral and strategic leadership, which she feels Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would have been able to provide.

“We have been able to legislate,” she states. “We have not been able to effectively change our society in a way that makes those laws a reality.”
